Dr Brad Mertens enjoys working with adults, adolescents and children, as well as parents and carers when required. Brad’s therapeutic focus is on the management of pain, anxiety, phobias (including fear of social situations), depression, bipolar disorder, and coping with loss. In his previous work at the Royal Hobart Hospital, Brad further developed his skills in the niche of health psychology. He helped individuals and carers facing the challenges of conditions such as cancer and epilepsy, those needing assistance after a neurological trauma (such as a stroke), and other areas of psychological practice as it relates to health, including pain management.
