Health Psychologist
Clinical Psychologist Caroline is a Health Psychologist and a Clinical Psychologist and director of the practice. Caroline helps people manage the psychological impact of chronic and acute health conditions. She has a particular interest in helping manage the impact of the cancer experience on patients and family members. Caroline also helps people with managing changes in life (such as a health diagnosis, living with pain, recovering from injury, career transition, menopause, altered sleep). Caroline has a collaborative, person-centred and non-judgemental approach. She is skilled across an array of modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing and Counselling. Caroline tailors her therapy to best suit her client's needs. Caroline is a Fellow of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Clinical College, and the APS Health College, and an active Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPi). She is a former lecturer at UTAS, past Chair of the College of Health Psychologists (Tasmanian Branch), and founding Mental Health Professionals Network facilitator (Southern Tasmanian Branch). She organises ongoing professional development activities for local psychologists, has presented her research in National conferences, and is published in peer-reviewed papers. Away from work, Caroline enjoys keeping active with her dogs, beach walks, playing music, cooking, and jigsaw puzzles. |
